A detailed answer to the end of unit question in the Understanding Christianity Creation/Fall Unit in Year 6:

‘Creation and science:conflicting or complementary?’

Having this WAGOLL shared with the children really helped the class write superb arguments showing how much they learned from this unit. Watch this space as I will be uploading my planning of this unit soon.

Included is an:

  • Introduction - defining what is meant by creation and science
  • Arguments why creation and science are in conflict
  • Arguments why creation and science can complement one another with an example of a Christian scientist we studied in a previous lesson
  • Conclusion to sum up my ideas and leave a lasting impression

I have also highlighted key parts of the argument I wanted my class to include but you can just get rid of that if it does not suit.
