This lesson activity for Year 7 pupils focuses on The Seven Ages of Man speech from Shakespeare’s As You Like It.
Pupils read the speech and work out the seven ages referred to in the speech with answers provided.
Then they work out seven stages of childhood, up to their present age. For example: baby, toddler, schooldays etc.
They then produce their own poem on the theme of The Seven Ages of Childhood, describing a ‘snapshot moment’ of each stage.
