This project is great because I find that students struggle to draw portraits because they guess. This unit breaks up the face into the separate facial features. The students learn how to draw an eye, mouth then a nose. They then put all of their skills into practice to try and draw a full face.
The introductory task is to shade and practice their curved shading.
