A short unit comprising of 4 PowerPoints (covering approximately 8 1hr lessons) as an introduction to poetry. Lessons focus on poetic and structural devices, analysis of two William Blake poems (‘The Chimney Sweeper’ and ‘A Poison Tree’) and culminates in a short creative writing assessment with students creating their own poem in the style of William Blake.
