Lesson presentations and activities
Included is a long PPT covering the whole range of methods for solving quadratic equations, from factorising, through completing the square to using the formula (didn't do graphically). It is designed to be about 8 - 10 lessons worth of material. Also included are three Qwizdom quizzes I made to accompany the PPT to provide an alternative form of assessment.

THANKS A LOT.
A powerpoint presentation introducing the zero-product property and then a gradual build up to solving quadratic equations by a method of factorisation.

Great resource - not heard of the 'morning method' but will definitely use this in future! Good to help foundation yr10 to remember what to look for.

Thank you for sharing. A really clear resource - saved me a lot of work. I noticed a mistake in one of the solutions on slide 9.
A PowerPoint with examples of how to use the quadratic equation, showing what a,b and c are then examples with 2,1 and 0 solutions, then there are some questions. Little 10 question starter on substitution to start. Ideal for GCSE lessons. Hope you like it

Thank you for publishing your resource. It has been selected to be featured in a new secondary maths collection.

The is a really good summary sheet of quadratics. But there is a small error in the factorising ax^2+bx+c section - you say they multiply to give c, but they multiply to give ac, and then later you say 4 and 4 multiply to give 8, it should be 16.
Practice questions, homeworks and assessments
This A4 worksheet (exercise mat) has a selection questions which involve solving quadratic equations grouped by methods of how to solve. Factorisation (non calc), using the quadratic formula and completing the square.

Great resource, thanks
Clive's made mistakes on his homework again. This time it is on solving quadratics, including the quadratic formula and completing the square in the final two questions. Students need to find Clive's error in each question and involve common mistakes I've seen made in class and in tests/exams. These are designed to assess understanding and to generate discussion.

Excellent
Ideal for GCSE revision, this worksheet helps students revise their understanding of the Quadratic Formula. In addition to the 'usual' questions, it includes questions checking their understanding of the discriminant. The questions are carefully selected – not just repetitive practice!
These review sheets are great to use in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and for interventions.
For similar-style revision sheets on other topics, click 👉 tes.com/../more...
Answers are included, as is a NEW STYLE of PowerPoint, which allows individual questions to be selected for enlarged display onto a screen. The answer can then be worked out ‘live’ by the teacher (or student) or a single click will reveal my solution. This not only helps in class, but it is also very useful for a student who is revising at home 😀.

Super resource. Small error in first question: should be -2.39 not -3.39
Worded quadratic equation problems requiring students to decompose a problem, form a quadratic equation, factorise it and solve it. They then have to choose a solution that matches the context of the question. This is the FREE version of the popular (8k+ downloads and TES Picks) resource with a 2 x Grade 5 questions and solutions. The full resource can be found here with 7 x Grade 5 - Grade 7 questions. It’s ideal for a 45-60 minute lesson and students can select what they want to do.
