Designed for lower ability students, the overlay files are printed on to acetate and cut into individual tiles. Students use the tiles and the question sheet (enlarged to A3 size) to find the missing angles and give the reason for the missing angle. There are two versions of the overlay - one with the angles marked and one with the "shape" of the angle (e.g. a Z for alternate angles).

20 quick questions on angles (largely) in parallel lines. Emphasis on use of correct terminology. Could be done on mini-whiteboards, or otherwise as quiz, rather than flashcards.

In this activity students have to solve angle problems and specify each angle fact that they used in a grid. They then compare their methods to those used by their partner - the idea is to generate class discussion about alternative methods.

angles in a straight line, angles at a point, vertically opposite angles, parallel lines and associated angles, angles in a triangle, angles in a quadrilateral, interior and exterior angles of regular polygons, CW, HW, useful revision for Year 7-11, with solutions (answers need checking please), leave a positive comment; it helps!!!
