Lesson presentations and activities
Two part lesson on perimeter for a low ability year 9 group. They really found Perry Perimeter engaging and were given time during starter of lesson 2 to create their own cut out of Perry to help them find the perimeter. Lesson ends on a game of Snakes and Ladders (in my other shared resources) which encouraged them to practice their skills as they have low attention spans.

Very helpful.Thanks
On each card is an answers and a question. For each question pupils have to work out each shapes perimeter with the correct unit. With their answer they need to find the card with that answer on it. Repeat this until they get back to the beginning.

There are errors in the answers. Here are the corrections:
Q1(b) A=5x(2x-3), Q4(a) 10g+10h, (b) 6h(5g-h) or 30gh-6h^2, (c) h=1, (d) h=0 Oh dear! Perhaps a better question to ask is "Find the area" to which the answer is 54, Q5(b) j=4.25, Q7(a) 34x^2+14xAmundy224 years ago
