Powerpoints to help with the teaching of the Sine rule, Cosine rule and the Area of a Triangle using Sine. I have included explanations of how the rules are derived in case your class are interested. Also in the Area of a Triangle using Sine powerpoint, I included an example of using it to calculate a formula for Pi! (Which a lot of the kids always seem to write down!). Excellent work. Very helpful. I was able to teach my pupils using these notes and it was amazing. Thank you.
Erica has a homework involving the sine and cosine rules as well as trigonometric functions. She thinks she's made mistakes; your students' task is to help Erica spot and correct the mistakes, explaining what she has mixed up. Designed to cover the new A level course and encourage discussion.

Practice questions, homeworks and assessments
Two trigonometry codebreakers that both involve a terrible joke. The first one is with right-angled triangles, the second requires the sine rule, cosine rule and area of a triangle using trigonometry.

Thanks for creating an alternative worksheet for students to show their understanding of trig. It is self correcting which is a bonus.

This carefully selected compilation of exam questions has fully-worked solutions designed for students to go through at home, saving valuable time in class.
Click 👉 tes.com/../Exam Question Practice… to download question compilations for more than 50 other topics.
I usually print these questions as an A5 booklet and issue them in class or give them out as a homework. I also make them available for a student who wants to do focused independent study on a topic.
