Lesson presentations and activities
Moves from what is a fraciton to writing and shading basic fracitons into equivalent fractions and simplifying. There are 2 worksheets, a think task, a dominoe game and a true/false plenary. It may take more than one lesson to get through this.

Great. Thank you 😊
This is a Smart Notebook file and a series of worksheets that I put together when introducing fractions to a low ability Yr7 class.
The sheets progress from colouring fractions of a brick up to adding fractions with different denominators.
There is also a Fraction wall showing how the different skills build on each other to reach the highest levels.
These sheets work well with physical LEGO to support them.Reviews

My son is 8 yrs old and is somewhere in the mid range on the spectrum. His mathematics ability is a few years advanced and his love of lego is matched only by the love for his lifelong buddy Charley Bear. At the moment he is struggling with the all of the changes to his daily life brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic however, these sheets have brought hours of calm and focus for him and I can't thank you enough for making them available to download they are amazing.

Practice questions, homeworks and assessments
This worksheet can be used as pupils start their work on simple unit fractions. The worksheet gradually gets more involved as students identify simple unit fractions and then they start comparing. The worksheet shows the concept and the non - concept and pupils are asked reason their answers throughout.

COLORING FRACTIONS INTRODUCTION
KIDS LOVE TO COLOR and they will do just that with these 5 printable worksheets.
You receive 5 worksheets where students color shapes according to given fractions and get introduced to NUMERATOR and DENOMINATOR at the same time.
Worksheets 1 - 3 : students actually COLOR as they are introduced to fractions and what they mean;
Worksheets 4 and 5 : students are introduced to NUMERATOR and DENOMINATOR and actually WRITE FRACTIONS to show how much of each object is already colored in; GREAT INTRO!
A smooth introduction to what fractions mean!
