A whole school Music week set of planning for EYFS-Year 4.
In our school, we have 3 explicit Music weeks with a focus on a couple of the interrelated dimensions of music. This week is all based around rhythm, pulse and tempo. There is enough planning for each year group to complete Music all day for the week.
• Boomwhacker planning – Monday-Friday (6 page doc.)
• Rhythmic Basketball planning – Tuesday-Friday (6 page doc.)
• Untuned Percussion planning – Monday-Friday (8 page doc.)
• Listening and Appraising planning – complete daily session (2 page doc.)
• Rhythm and Pulse activities – complete a couple of tasks from this daily and build up throughout the week (3 page doc.)
Boomwhacker, rhythmic basketball and untuned percussion planning has a progression map for the week on the first page.
On the Monday, we had a junk drumming workshop for 30 mins with each class.
