Secondary SEN Resources. Primary Stage 1 to Entry Level

I teach a range of subjects to 14-16 year olds in a special school for students with learning difficulties; their levels ranging from 'P' to Primary 4. I'm gradually uploading resources I've made over the last few years which often use topics that reinforce Life Skills essential for a more independent future. Some of my LA activities can be accessed by non-readers with minimal support. I hope you find them useful! Thank you for visiting my shop.

2 different tasks to practice directional language including left, right, above, below, in front and behind. Each task has a “reader” and a “symbol supported” version to allow wider access to the task. Pictures are Symwriter symbols. In the first task students match up the word with the picture showing the position of the red ball. In the second task students record what they can see behind them, in front of them etc. I made this for my KS4 students with special needs but it is based on the Year 1/2 maths curriculum and would be great for any infant classroom. I used the symbol supported option first for all students to reinforce the vocabulary. Some students then went on to complete the one with just words. Please leave a review and any suggestions you have, thank you!
