Model that I created for my grade 7-9 students to help them understand how an epistolary form could be used as a response to Paper 1 Q5 in order to achieve the higher marks for AO5 organisation. This is my own interpretation of the level 4 mark scheme and how I believe that a student can achieve the higher marks on this question. A cultural literacy lesson aimed at Y7 Pupil Premium students. Lesson covers key information about Shakespeare and emphasises importance of improving cultural literacy. Card sort activity of common Shakespeare words/phrases and their meanings. Worksheet included- students collect answers to questions throughout lesson and write down any new vocabulary and definitions.

Poetry knowledge organiser including subject terminology and definitions for Language, Structure and Form. Ideal to use at KS3 and KS4. Personally, I laminate them and place them on tables or print them and give to students to glue into front of anthologies for GCSE.

Double sided A4 knowledge organiser for Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Contains key quotations for key characters, key themes and settings, writer’s ideas and intentions, and detailed information about context (poverty, workhouse, crime and Industrial Revolution). Language and structural features also included alongside definitions.
