A basic trigonometry worksheet for those learning to use the sin, cos, and tan ratios to find the length of an unknown side (15Q) or the degrees of an unknown angle (10Q).
Each question comprises a diagram of a triangle with all the relevant information.
Fully worked answers to all questions are included.
An introductory trigonometry worksheet covering:
Labelling right-angled triangles (O,H,A)
Labelling right-angled triangles (A,B,C,a,b,c)
Sin, cos, tan notation
Similar triangles (ratio use)
Calculating approximations (sin, cos, tan, angles)
There are 11 question sets.
Answers are included for every question.
Suitable for Stage 5 mathematics students (NSW), doing the 5.1 coursework.
This indices activity has 19 questions with the subtopics of
the zero index
power to a power
Answers are linked to a code used in order to find out what the Mayan calendar predicted for 2012.
There are PDF and word versions of the indices activity. The PDF version splits the questions and answers on separate PDFs and the word version contains all the questions and answers in the one document.
This worksheet caters to the new NSW math syllabus for 2024, meeting parts of the first the second dot point of IND-C-01 (for stage 5):
‘Simplify algebraic expressions that involve the zero index’
‘Simplify algebraic expressions that involve powers, products and quotients of simple algebraic terms containing positive-integer indices’

Index Worksheet with Worked Solutions Yr 9/10
This is a one page worksheet of 12 major questions to highlight the concept of Pythagoras Theorem. This worksheet is perfect for yr 8 students.
Worked answers are provided.
Get your students working together with a collaborative poster, especially at the end of a unit! This poster of a mushroom lady is coloured for autumn / fall and is coded with questions on negative integers.
The poster is 24 pieces (when printed on A4 paper, each piece is 14 cm x 14 cm). Each piece has a coordinate in the top left corner to help with assembly.
The colours for the poster have been assigned, except for the background, which is a free choice for students. There are five colours for autumn / fall (red, light brown, dark brown, orange and yellow), labelled 1-5. To work out which colour matches each number a question involving negative integers is presented, with answers matching 1-5. There are 6 sets of the 5 questions.
How it works:
Students will colour their assigned piece, cut it out, and then assemble their pieces with their classmates. Stick them together and display in the classroom.
The final poster measures approximately 56 cm x 84 cm.
A worksheet on graphing sin, cos and tan graphs, including pointing out the amplitudes and periods of each. There are 30 questions.
Answers are included for every question.
Suitable for Stage 6 mathematics students (NSW).
Specific to the NSW syllabus in Australia (and the Australian tax rates), this is a worksheet (with answers) on financial mathematics, suitable for students in stage 5 (yrs 9 and 10).
There are 19 questions on:
Simple Interest (I=PRN)
Compound Interest (A=P(1+R)^n)
Taxable income, deductions & tax rates
6 sets of ‘cards’ that include:
A word problem (on angles of elevation and angles of depression)
A picture representing the word problem
The answer to the word problem
There are 18 ‘cards’ in total, in addition to an answer key (each set coloured is coloured a different colour).
The ‘cards’ are in a random order, so it is not necessary to cut them all out - colouring, the ‘cards’ differently, or otherwise, is enough for students to match the 3 pieces of each set.
This is a single worksheet for yr 11 students studying the Standard Mathematics course in 2019 There are twenty questions dealing with the FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS (MS-F1 unit in the new Mathematics Standard Stage 6 Syllabus) subtopics of:
F1.2: Earning and Managing Money
Government allowances
Commissions, piecework and royalties
Worked answers for all questions are included.
This indices worksheet has 109 questions covering subtopics of
Multiplication law of indices
Division law of indices
Power to a power law of indices
The zero index
There are PDF and word versions of the indices worksheet. The PDF version splits the questions and worked answers on separate PDFs and the word version contains all the questions and answers in the one document.

This is a trigonometry worksheet with 40 questions suitable for a yr 11 or 12 student studying trigonometry in their maths unit. This worksheet covers exact values, both radians and degrees, and the use of the following trigonomteric identities:
sin(x)=O/H
cos(x)=A/H
tan(x)=O/A
tan(x)=sin(x)/cos(x)
cot(x)=cos(x)/sin(x)
sin^2(x)+cos^2(x)=1
