The Brontes Scheme of Work

(0)
The lives of the Brontë children have never failed to excite interest. Many who have never read a word written by the Brontës know their life stories and have probably visited the Parsonage Museum in Haworth. Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights are well-know, as much for the numerous film and TV versions which have been made as for the books themselves. Our resource pack explores their lives and provides extracts with comments and questions from the work of Emily, Charlotte and Anne Brontë. The pack can also be used by pupils for revision and home learning. This scheme of work is 58 pages and free sample pages can be downloaded here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/the-brontes-author-pack-sample-pages-11965668 The Bronte Pack Contents: 1 Brontë Chronology 2 The Brontë Family - One 3 Branwell’s Toy Soldiers 4 The Little Books 5 The Brontë Family - Two 6 Diaries 7 The Brontë Home* 8 Governesses 9 Governesses continued 10 The Brontë Family - Three 11 Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell 12 Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell continued 13 Branwell Brontë 14 Branwell Brontë continued 15 Anne Brontë 16 Anne Brontë continued 17 Agnes Grey (1) 18 Agnes Grey (2) 19 Charlotte Brontë 20 Charlotte Brontë continued 21 Charlotte Brontë continued 22 Villette 23 Villette continued 24 Jane Eyre 1 25 Jane Eyre 1 continued 26 Jane Eyre 2 27 Jane Eyre 2 continued 28 Jane Eyre 3 29 Jane Eyre 3 continued 30 Jane Eyre 4 31 Jane Eyre 5 32 Jane Eyre 6 33 Jane Eyre 7 34 Jane Eyre 8 35 Jane Eyre 9 36 Jane Eyre 10 37 Emily Brontë 38 Emily Brontë continued 39 Emily Brontë - Nature (poem) 40 Emily Brontë - Love (poem) 41 Emily Brontë - Death (poem) 42 Emily Brontë - Religion (poem) 43 Wuthering Heights 1 44 Wuthering Heights 2 45 Wuthering Heights 2 continued 46 Wuthering Heights 3 47 Wuthering Heights 4 48 Wuthering Heights 5 49 Wuthering Heights 6 50 Wuthering Heights 7 51 Wuthering Heights 7 continued 52 Wuthering Heights 8 53 Wuthering Heights 9 54 Wuthering Heights 9 continued 55 Wuthering Heights 10 56 Wuthering Heights 11 57 The Story of Wuthering Heights 1 58 The Story of Wuthering Heights 2 Visit our Shop for more high quality English resources and to download free samples of all of our schemes of work, including our extensive collection of Shakespeare resources: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/BandDPublishing If you like our resources or would like to provide feedback please leave a review. B and D Publishing’s Working With Words consists of a series of individual English lessons. There are four packs in the series. Each pack contains 40 different lessons. The work in each pack has been varied to provide lesson content for a wide range of abilities. The material in the resource packs has been designed to help in a variety of situations. Heads of Department have found the series extremely useful for providing last minute lesson material for non-specialist teachers covering for absent staff. Similarly the variety of differentiated lessons provided can meet the short-term needs of supply teachers. The worksheets are also suitable for home learning. Some of the resources provide useful revision work - particularly for the perennial problems with words such as ‘their’ and ‘there’ and ‘was’ and ‘were’. A range of material in lighter vein is also included - crosswords, word-games, word-searches etc. Many teachers have found this material useful at the end of a project, as individual homework assignments, or as something just a little different at the end of term. Free sample pages from each scheme of work are available. Follow the links to sample packs within the individual resource pack listings to find free downloads.
