This is a fantastic versatile lifelong teaching resource which can be used in a variety of ways to develop students number sense. Number sense is important because it encourages students to think flexibly and promotes confidence with numbers. Students who lack a strong number sense have trouble developing the foundation needed for even simple arithmetic, let alone more complex mathematics. Contents: •6 colored ladders (to be laminated and cut) •100 number cards •Activity 1: Write and Wipe •Activity 2: Ordering Numbers •Activity 3: Fill the Ladder Game This is a MUST HAVE resource for your math teaching toolkit as each activity can be easily adapted and differentiated to suit learners of all ages. Children as young as four and five quickly master the activities using numbers to 50 and for more able children I adapt the activity by asking students to complete number sequences for specific multiplication tables. Many thanks, Bees Knees :)
