Pixar short films area great way to introduce and teach a range of topics.
They carry underlying messages, and in this film about a young Sandpiper we see ideas around bravery, creativity, persistence and how birds live at the beach with searching for food, living as a flock and interacting with other creatures.
This film can be used independently or can compliment a wider activity into studies into the environment, survival, birds and also resilience and adversity.

If you love using Pixar films in your lessons as much as I do, then you will appreciate having this workbook at your fingertips for students to use.
It is designed with maximum pictures and short sharp activities and questions to keep students of different abilities engaged. There are some deeper principles in this film that you can explore further after using this booklet.
Additionally, if you are introducing Chess to your class then this is a fun way to show them some of the pieces, rules, and fun that can be had.
