An eight week scheme of work to accompany students' first reading of the play in preparation for their AQA English Literature examination. There is a PowerPoint presentation for each week with details of all activities as well as accompanying resources. Resources include worksheets, handouts and quizzes. An overview of the whole scheme is included in Week 1. Also includes the random question generator - 100 questions about the play.
A whole school Literacy scheme, designed to be taught through one 15 minute session per week by non-specialists. Suitable for all Key Stage 3 students. Includes definitions, examples and answers to all the activities; fortnightly spelling tests and additional challenge activities. Covers a whole school year.
Over 20 extracts from the play and practice questions; a student activity booklet and additional activities and resources to support students in their revision.
For each poem there is a PowerPoint presentation which guides students through a line by line analysis of each poem. Additional slides include: Context; Summary of the poem; Form, structure and language; Linking the poems; Comparison grids exploring the main themes and Revision Summary slide.
This unit of work is for students studying the play for the first time in preparation for their GCSE English Literature exam with AQA. Each activity has an accompanying PowerPoint slide to guide teachers (and students) through all of the tasks. All resources, handouts and worksheets are included.
Students should also be given an extracts booklet with practice questions. At key moments in the unit of work there are opportunities to annotate these booklet and record key quotations (pages at the back).
