Lesson 3 focuses on the myths and truths of menstruation and prompts students to analyse the menstrual products available. The intentions of this lesson are to understand the misconceptions around menstrual health and to understand the qualities of the different menstrual products available. It is our mission for the students of today to understand the ebb and flow of hormonal and emotional cycles so that as they flourish as adults, they are able to create and thrive in environments at work and with their loved ones where there is an acceptance of the times when we need to retreat, be quiet and allow ourselves quiet time as they also embrace the times when they are enthusiastic, energised and powered up.

This gives an outline of the resources available in my shop. Lessons are for Key Stages 3 and 4, PSHCE to cover the menstrual cycle and cycle awareness discussing the emotional awareness. The aim of these lessons is to promote an understanding of the emotional cycle that those who menstruate experience and how we can all be supportive of those individuals. One of the key ways to promote equality across the genders is to ensure that all students understand and can empathise with individuals who menstruate as this is something which in some cultures is seen as dirty and undesirable. Ensuring that students understand the superpowers of menstruation will allow them to work and grow in collaboration with each other.
