In this small-group activity, Fate (the dice) will determine which Christmas character or object your students will describe. You’ll find that even reluctant learners will be motivated to listen carefully to hear which squares have already been “played” by their classmates. And the promise of “treasure” tends to generate enthusiastic oral participation as well.
