AQA GSCE Psychology: Evaluation Writing Frame

AQA GSCE Psychology: Evaluation Writing Frame

(0)
This Evaluation Writing Frame (or Cheat Sheet as we like to refer to it in my class) is perfect for lower ability students or when just starting the course in Year 10. It outlines exactly what they should write for common evaluation points, using the “Point, Explain, Link” structure. This support with essay writing provides students with confidence and works as a briliant scaffold both in the classroom or at home. It follows two common methods of evaluation in GCSE, SODA for theories and GRAVE for studies. The resource also comes with an overview sheet for both SODA and GRAVE that explains each part of the acronym. There are two ways of using this resource: Version 1: Printed. This works well glued into their notes or book which they can refer to when completing evaluation paragraphs in class or at home. Version 2: Printed on both sides and laminated, this works well as a loose reference sheet they can refer to when completing evaluation paragraphs in class or at home.

AQA GCSE Psychology: Revision Clocks

(0)
This resource contains 8 revision clocks, one for each topic on Paper 1 and Paper 2 of AQA GCSE Psychology. They can be used for independent revision or in class. Each sheet is split into sections based on the specification, students spend 10 minutes on each section of sheet, initially making notes from memory and then spending the rest of the 10 minutes using their notes to fill in gaps. They are fully editable. I recommend printing on A3. If issues occur with printing, convert to PDF first.

AQA A-level Psychology Hypothesis Writing Frame

(0)
Students often struggled to write a hypothesis, particularly if the exam question demands that this hypothesis is for a repeated or independent measures design. This Hypothesis Writing Frame is perfect for guiding students through the process of writing a hypothesis, outlining exactly what they should write with spaces to substitute the independent and dependent variable. It also includes a writing frame for a correlation hypothesis: this has yet to be examined but is a possibility for future exam questions. This A4 handout comes complete with definitions for key terms: Hypothesis, Directional Hypothesis, Non-direction Hypothesis and Operationalisation; including when a non-directional or directional hypothesis should be used.

On Page 2 is the specification, with three faces so they can RAG rate their understanding throughout the topic. It also has a column they can tick to indicate that they have revised each area. On Pages 3-4 is a glossary which could be used as revision or in lesson as a key terms test. On each page there is space for students to complete information or activities to demonstrate their understanding and completion of the topic. When printing, I would recommend converting the PowerPoint to PDF as this may cause some formatting issues with some printers.
