AQA GCSE Psychology: Development Homework Workbook/Booklet
This editable 5 page workbook is perfect for homework, for experienced and new teachers alike.
Each page equates to one week’s homework with a different task on each page. The tasks are centred around revision and exam skills and keeps all homework in one place for easier organisation.
When printing, I would recommend converting the PowerPoint to PDF as this may cause some formatting issues with some printers.
AQA GCSE Psychology Revision Mats
Included are 8 revision mats, one for every topic of the AQA GCSE Psychology specification: Memory, Development, Perception, Research Methods, Social Influence, Language, Thought & Communication, Brain & Neuropsychology and Psychological Problems.
These can be printed on A3 paper and given to students to complete for revision.
AQA GCSE Psychology: Development Starter Booklet
This booklet contains 10 starters than can be used at the beginning of each lesson in the AQA GCSE Psychology Development topic, focussed on recall from the previous lesson. This works well in conjunction with my Development Workbooklet and Development PowerPoints.

The difference between sensation and perception.
Visual cues and constancies
Monocular depth cues: height in plane, relative size, occlusion and linear perspective.
Binocular depth cues: retinal disparity, convergence.
Gibson’s direct theory of perception – the influence of nature
The real world presents sufficient information for direct perception without inference. Role of motion parallax in everyday perception.
Visual illusions
Explanations for visual illusions: ambiguity, misinterpreted depth cues, fiction, size constancy.
Examples of visual illusions: the Ponzo, the Müller-Lyer, Rubin’s vase, the Ames Room, the Kanizsa triangle and the Necker cube.
Gregory’s constructivist theory of perception – the influence of nurture
Perception uses inferences from visual cues and past experience to construct a model of reality.
Factors affecting perception
Perceptual set and the effects of the following factors affecting perception: culture, motivation, emotion, expectation.
