This activity serves as a perfect opportunity to involve families as well. It can be sent home for the kids to work on it together with their family members. Help your students eliminate stereotypes, prejudices, and any form of racism. Through this Racism and Antiracism Craft activity; children will be encouraged to recognize that skin color is merely a physical characteristic. By imagining themselves with different skin colors and drawing pictures of themselves accordingly, they will understand that despite external differences, all individuals are unique and equally valuable. This activity promotes the idea that there should be no room for injustice or discrimination based on skin color. Our responsibility is to foster equality and promote antiracism from an early age. This activity is an excellent addition to the Racism (Skin Color) Anti-Racism PowerPoint Presentation. Instructions: Ask students to draw themselves in the first frame. In the next ones, they redraw themselves with different skin tones. Then, they cut out the pictures, staple them into a small book, and reflect on how they feel seeing themselves in different tones. This activity helps them understand that their identity and worth remain the same.
