Because of answer banks for students and answer sheets for adults, this activity is great for home, school and special education! This is a simple activity I used to introduce arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. The activity could be used for students of all grade levels because it really only requires pattern recognition. Students are given the first 3 numbers of a pattern and asked to find the next three. They solve the joke: “How do you make holy water?” NOTE there are 2 versions - one with the word hell and one with the word heck, you can decide which is the most appropriate for your needs.
