12 Lesson project that will give students a sound understanding of the main workshop skills involved in forming, wasting and fabricating polymers, metals and woods. Students will learn how to cut, bend and screw thread metals, laser cut polymers, shape and finish wood to create a accurate and usable product.
Each lesson has a starter, lesson objectives and a plenary that build through the project. Comprehensive set of ‘job cards’ are provided which include all manufacturing specification details.
Look out for my other AQA theory lessons and SOW that compliment this project.

This is a 4 week project I run with my Sixth Form Design students, it develops their ability to sketch and design by utilising a range of communication techniques. This presentation requires students to have a basic understanding of sketching.
I am developing a full range of theory lessons to support the new AQA design technology GCSE 9-1. There are 30 lessons that are taught one a week throughout Y10.
Each lesson has learning objectives, starter/bell task, content (GIF’s used to support learning), plenary and summary slides in PowerPoint. I have also included a fully supported student handout which includes homework questions and summative assessment section.
To support the theory lessons I have uploaded, please download my pupil tracker sheet.
As well as theory lessons I have uploaded project/skills learning journeys that can be easily customised to the projects you are delivering.
All content is fully branded and is graphically consistent.
Please check out my other resources and give feedback if you find my resources helpful.
If there are any missing video links, please contact me and I will send.
Designed to be taught as part of the new V Cert NCFE Engineering qualification. A series of lessons including retrieval tasks, lesson objectives and fully embedded GIF animations (6 second looped video clips) of myself completing the project. Used to support all learners achieve success.
Please check out my other resources for the new V Cert NCFE Engineering course, including 6 other practical projects, a nowiknow learning log and theory lesson bundles.
All supporting files if not uploaded can be emailed directly, please just ask.

Developed to be delivered with the new AQA NEA for DT. Complete PowerPoint that takes students through each section. Clear and precise assessment tracker has also been included to support. This powerpoint has been modified to be more appropriate for students completing a PRdocut Design based project.
