I currently work in a Secondary School for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. These resources have all been tailored for these students but can easily be adapted for your students, the lessons focus on active learning with as much group work and discussion/debate as possible. This resource was recently judged outstanding in an observation it was delivered to SEMH KS3 students but is also suitable for KS2. The resources has students working in a carousel activity developing their understanding of imagery through eating sherbet lemons, students are engaged and excited from the start. The resource includes the lesson plan, PowerPoint and worksheets including AfL opportunities throughout. Lesson develops skills in collaboration, independent reading and writing, self-assessment and peer-assessment. Links to my Harry Potter SoW which is also available to download.
