6-8 lesson scheme of work on an introduction to classical music. Suitable for KS2 or KS3. Focuses on the eras of music, keyboard and singing skills, and listening comprehension. Inspirations has been taken from some of the ABRSM classroom 200 resources but they have been linked in a coherent way and using my own resources. HIghly recommend the clasroom 200 as a resource! Includes audio clips, notation worksheets (do check the ABRSM ones though as some notes are wrong! I’ve tried to correct them as best as I can) and lesson slides. Youtube links also included.

To last a whole term. Aimed at year 8 or 9 looking at 1950s to the 2010s. Follows the structure of: A lesson the context and history and appreciation. A lesson on performing from that decade and then a composition task from that era. Includes scheme outline, powerpoint and knowledge organiser.

A 7-8 lesson scheme looking at composing music to a film clip (ideally using garageband but can be adapted to any DAW). Includes scheme, 2 knowledge organsiers in differing formats, and a presentation with links to clips etc.
