Brilliant lesson for year 7 particularly for them just getting the hang of BiG Skool expectations. The lesson walks you through idea that white light is actually split into different wavelengths, the human eye ony recognises three and our brain fills in all the blanks, by spinning spinner faster than our eye can recogise we can trick our brain into recognising white light. A colour printer is useful for low ability, but high abilities will LOVE getting thier fancy big skool colouring pens out. One of my favourites, a spin on a classic chemistry lesson, theres a brilliant analogy (thanks whoever came up with that) a unique appllication of the 1,2,3 game of which most kids will have played at least once and lots of visuals plus a good qualitative practical that could easily be adjusted to be investigatve for higher groups..
