A 25 minute Tutor Time session created especially for LGBT+ Month (Feb 2019). This is the second of six sessions to be used throughout LGBT+ month, each focusing on and exploring the culture and history of a different aspect of the LGBTQAI community, from Lesbians (L) to Intersex (I). The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions, a quiz and final reflection task. An editable end of term assembly with a focus on being grateful and thankful. Many more slides here than you see on the preview! The narrative follows three children and how their lives have changed due to circumstances beyond their control. It lasts about 15-20 minutes if clip is watched too. The assembly emphasises the value of education and how lucky the students are to live in a country with free access to school. It challenges them to think about others less fortunate throughout their break and to come back refreshed but also appreciating how lucky they are.
