A fully resourced lesson which could be used in PSHCE or as over a week of Tutor Time sessions, investigating the climate change protests. Students will discover who Extinction Rebellion and Greta Thunberg are, what they and similar groups and people are trying to achieve, why the urgency and why some people oppose some of the current methods of protest. Students will then form their own views on whether peaceful protest is really enough in the face of a global climate emergency. This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying information pack and worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and debate task. This is a simple but thought-provoking board game to be played in pairs. Use a coin and move one place for tails and two for heads, that way more of the dilemmas will be discussed. You will need to cut out the dilemma cards. For each card the player has to decide how they would act in a difficult friendship scenario.
