This free 9 page audit grid has been created to go alongside the free EC Resources PSHE and RSE planning pack, to show additional coverage of SMSC and British Values. It was created by a school using the document as part of their work to attain the SMSC Quality Mark and is shared with kind permission. The word document version has been left editable, however, so anyone can also use it, filling it in with their own coverage against the different standards.
The document is particularly useful for those using the EC Resources Complete KS3 or Complete KS4 packs as it was created to complement these.

Ten x fully resourced lessons on gender, sex and transgender identities and and one LGBT+ Month tutor time session, with differentiated worksheets and clips - suitable for KS3/4, all focusing on the gender, prejudice, sexual identity and transphobia and transgender issues. Could be used all together as part of a Drop Down Day, part of an RSE / PSHE Unit of work or over a week in Tutor Time.

What is masculinity? What constitutes both toxic and positive masculinity? What effects do both of these have on males and wider society?
What is biological sex? What is gender and what are gender roles? An investigation into all these questions and more.
NEW - This lesson investigates the correct use of pronouns and also the rise of neo-pronouns. It invites students to make their own minds up about how useful neo-pronouns are and explains the correct use of pronouns for transgender people under the UK Equality Act, as a protected characteristic. It also talks about the use of pronouns and neo-pronouns between students, as well as how schools are advised by the government as of 2023 to handle changes in pronouns.
Gender stereotypes - what are these and why are they harmful?

12 pages of revision activities all with a focus on regional, local, regional and devolved government for the Democracy and Government section of the new GCSE 9-1 Citizenship spec. All these have been selected as stand alone activities from my Citizenship GCSE lessons and can be printed out and given as a 12 page revision guide which students can use at home, or printed individually and set as revision homeworks.

UPDATED : A 25 minute Tutor Time session all about what a No Deal Brexit is and what this would mean for the country. The session focuses on how a No Deal Brexit is already being prepared for, the possible consequences of this and what it would mean legally. The PowerPoint also examines why some people are for and some against a No Deal Brexit, before inviting the students to form their own conclusions through a class debate.
The resource is editable, has differentiated tasks, a clip with questions, info sheet, and is designed to last around half an hour.

This pack serves as an introduction to the LGBT+ / LGBTQAI community, breaking down the acronyms, tackling issues like transphobia and homophobia and investigating why it is still a term which it isn’t always easy to define.

A new, 2024 lesson, all about our online privacy and protecting our data. Students will explore the concept of privacy and why it is an important Human Right. They will then investigate how they are unknowingly giving away their personal data online, whilst browsers and social media sites and stores can take this legitimately. Students will then discover how malicious actors can steal data easily and use it for nefarious purposes, whilst learning the best way to protect themselves, their data and their personal privacy.

The lesson has been created in an ‘adaptive teaching style’ and highlights the use of both cognitive and metacognitive strategies. The lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint presentation, a video clip with questions, a discussion-based main activity, and a debate plenary task.
