A detailed, differentiated and editable 1 hour lesson which could be used over a week of Tutor Time, with literacy tasks, timeline tasks and many clip tasks for classes keeping up to date with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Suitable for KS3 or KS4.

A fully-resourced lesson all about what stalking and harassment are, how they can seriously affect people’s lives and the misconception many have that this is just a problem for celebrities. This has been created to fit with the new PSHE Association guidelines and is recommended for KS4/KS5 as there are real life stories included which can be upsetting (nothing graphic).

2 HOURS - Best suited to UKS3 or KS4 (could also be used for KS5 if wished). A brand new lesson created for students to digest and evaluate the horrific events we saw in the UK in summer 2024. Students will investigate how misinformation over social media caused riots across the UK, how the memory of a tragedy was hijacked by thugs who looted and attacked cities, and if there’s anything we can do to help stop such events in future, through critical thinking and awareness of mob mentality.
Students will also explore the harsh penalties given by the government to deter would-be-rioters in future and how counter-protesters took to the streets to protect communities, mosques and other public buildings.

A 15-20 minute assembly (if clip is watched) to explain, in very simple terms, what’s going on with Brexit at the moment. It includes student friendly explanations, a channel 4 clip which is perfect at explaining the situation in simple terms, questions to ask the students (optional), facts, analogies quotes and a little humour.

A one hour religious education lesson on Islamic views on family, children, marriage and divorce. This was used for GCSE RS Thematic Studies AQA (9-1) Theme A (but is editable for other exam boards or KS3). It is fully adaptable and includes essay preparation, quote analysis tasks, a variety of activities, a 12 mark practice question, clips and questions and is fully differentiated (to three levels throughout). It also includes a Christian viewpoints sheet to help with the religious comparisons mock exam question.
