Growing and Changing - KS1

How we grow KS1/Year 1/Autumn 1 PSHE lesson. Created with a view to being delivered as the second PSHE lesson of the year, this lesson builds on learning from the previous lesson, This Is Me, and continues to explore Shinsuke Yoshitake’s, *Can I Build Another Me? * In this lesson, the children will learn about the different ways that we grow and change as we get older. We will discuss key milestones and reflect on the things that we can, and can’t do, and how that will likely change as we grow older. The lesson includes a memory game starter activity, a sorting task, a story with accompanying questions, a drawing activity linked to the text, and a ‘who am I?’ plenary task. Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to. Who are EC Resources? There are then slides which explore how to recognise fake news and what to do if you’re unsure. The slides shown are just a sample of those included.
