A one hour lesson focusing on the arguments against God based n suffering and evil. It encourages students to consider a variety of philosophical arguments for and against God and to tackle them from different perspectives using new terminology. This was used in for GCSE RS Thematic Studies AQA (9-1) - but is adaptable for other exam boards or KS3.
It is fully editable and includes essay preparation, quote analysis tasks, a variety of activities, a 12 mark practice question, clips and questions and is fully differentiated. It is mostly about Christianity with a focus on Islam as the religion of comparison.

It compares the validity of Amish beliefs to more mainstream Christian ones and investigates what it’s like to live in the Amish community today. It examines criticisms as well as the Church in the words of believers. Christianity 9-1 Revision. An engaging pack of resources that helps students to revise Religious Studies Christianity (made for AQA Spec A but easily amendable).
Includes:
A jam-packed Christianity Revision Guide for Christian Practices: This illustrated guide contains many Bible quotes and detailed explanations, with easy student friendly phrasing on everything in Spec A AQA Christianity (Practices). It can easily be printed out and given to students without having to explain any of the terminology as all explanation is here for them. There are lots of quotes for students to study and remember, all highlighted in bold and explained with exact Bible references included.
A 2 hour revision lesson. This lesson allows students to develop board games to help other students revise from. Students are given opportunities to reflect on the requirements of the Religious Studies GCSE (Christianity Beliefs or Christianity Teachings / Practices - this pack includes revision for both so easily amendable to suit) and think about how they can guide other students to be successful.<br />
The resource also includes 2x knowledge organisers of the complete Beliefs and Teachings of Christianity and Complete Practices which can be used to refer to throughout the lesson when making the revision board games, or used as revision posters for students to take home.

This pack covers themes A, C, D, E and F. These packs are great to set as homeworks, revision tasks or to use in lessons as assessments. Everything is editable, in student speak and all of the exam prep tasks are differentiated.
Also included: a 12 mark question peer assessment grid for AQA RS 9-1 GCSE (produced originally for Spec A, but works under the same principle for other AQA specs and is editable). Can be used for any 12 mark question and has been written in student speak based on the AQA assessment materials. There is a space for students to fill in the question being assessed as well as guidance on how to give appropriate peer assessment feedback. It can be used again and again in lessons and has been created to save time.

An assembly all about whether or not we live in a truly equal country. The assembly reflects on women’s and LGBT+ rights, racism, black lives matter, and finally focuses on income inequality - and how and why this is rising. The message of the assembly is that although the UK has improved so much in the last fifty years, we cannot take it for granted that we live in a country of equal opportunities, which is why we need to develop our skills of resilience, perseverance and determination to succeed more than ever.
It lasts around 20 mins (inc clips). The assembly includes animations, statistics, dialogue between characters and a little humour. It is very easy to just pick up ad deliver after a quick glance at the slides.
The slides in the previews are just a sample and not the whole assembly.
