Sexual Harassment Introduction - Upper KS2 Year 6 / Lower KS3 Year 7 **Sexual harassment - what is it and why do we need to learn about it? ** In this introductory lesson, the students will revisit their previous knowledge of consent and personal boundaries, as we gently explore the concept of sexual harassment and the steps we can take to keep ourselves safe. Intended as a first introduction to the topic, the lesson is suitable for students in Upper KS2 (Year 6) or possibly Lower KS3 students in Year 7. The lesson sensitively explains the concept of sexual harassment , addresses British laws with regard to privacy and discriminatory behaviour, and provides examples of problematic behaviour whilst avoiding explicit examples that would be too mature for this age group. A 25 minute Tutor Time session created especially for LGBT+ Month (Feb 2019). The session serves as an introduction to the LGBT+ / LGBTQAI community, breaking down the acronyms and investigating why it is still a term which it isn’t always easy to define. This is the first of six sessions to be used throughout LGBT+ month, each focusing on and exploring the culture and history of a different aspect of the LGBTQAI community, from Lesbians (L) to Intersex (I). The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions, a quiz and final reflection task.
