1 hour, detailed and well differentiated lesson about why PSHE is such an important subject and how it contributes to the all-round success in life of every student - ideal for KS4 as a recap or introduction. The lesson focuses what the three main aspects of PSHE education are (RSE, Living in the Wider World and Health and Wellbeing) before examining a number of case studies where young adults’ lives could have been transformed had they paid attention in their PSHE lessons.
It includes a detailed PowerPoint, worksheets, differentiated activities, clip and literacy focus and debate tasks. It could be used either for KS3 or KS4, but was created with KS4 mostly in mind (to remind them why the subject is so important, despite them also studying for exams). Everything is editable. Careers Future Planning + Post-16 Options - For the Gatsby Benchmark Careers Guidelines. 1-2 hour fully resourced careers lesson which introduces the concept of careers, jobs and vocations before investigating the best ways students can establish the right career paths for them. The lesson sees students creating a six point plan based on the provided information, clip tasks and other activities and is perfect as an introduction lesson for a PSHE / Citizenship careers unit.

An assembly all about the impact that random acts of kindness can have. It explores why we need to be kind to each other, the effect small acts can have on our family, friends and the wider communities and in turn our own emotional wellbeing. The assembly lasts around 20 minutes, including a short clip.
As part of the assembly you will need to place three Post-Its randomly where the children will sit. You will be calling those three students who sit on a Post-It up to give them a small gift (perhaps a tube of Smarties).You will then ask them questions about how they feel - this is to show the impact of an act of kindness when people aren’t expecting it (which scientists have shown to have more impact than if they are).
The assembly is very easy to follow (and has additional teacher notes in the slide-notes of the PowerPoint). It is also editable. There are more slides in the actual assembly - this is just a small selection for the preview.

They will then take stock of the employability skills they already have by examining the skills they have developed through their time at school. They then focus on the skills they want to develop further, according to their prospective lines of employment.

Exercise, Physical Health + Wellbeing PSHE. This new lesson for 2023-24 allows students to explore the physical and mental benefits of regular exercise. Students will investigate the short-term and long-term effects on the heart, brain, muscles, bones and other areas of the human body. They will learn about different forms of exercise and how it can improve our overall well-being. Includes creative tasks, active tasks, analysis and clip tasks. Best suited to KS3, all editable.

A one hour lesson suitable for KS3 ( Year 7 or a SEND group), all making safe friendships and how we know when it’s safe or unsafe to form new relationships with other people. There is a large focus on the dangers of meeting people online and potential groomers / online predators.
