This PowerPoint covers controversial debate questions picked from throughout the PSHE Association’s recommended topic areas of Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Living in the Wider World for KS3. This tracker displays all of the new statutory PSHE, RSE and Health guidelines down the left hand side (from the DfE) then the optional code references for how the PSHE Association has broken these down into further, optional content (linked on the document). On the right hand side there are five columns that can be filled in for Year groups 7-11 to show where in each half term the guidance is met. This has been created from the audit made by Brian Reeve-Hayes, PSHE Specialist and consultant. 2 HOURS A fully-resourced transgender PSHE / RSE lesson which serves as an introduction to the difference between sex and gender and explores sexuality, identity, language (correct terms) and gender expression. Students will explore new key terminology before investigating the key components of identity and sexual orientation, why some people still find some of the ideas behind this controversial (such as pronoun use) and then educate other students on a trait they will be working on and presenting in small groups (all information needed is included). This lesson is great to consolidate the PSHE 2020/24 spiral curriculum (especially for an LGBT+ unit) or for a Citizenship diversity unit. Eight hours of lessons for KS4 PSHE RSE - Relationships and Sex Education. These lessons are all three way differentiated for every task, editable and follow exact PSHE Association guidelines for KS4 topics and content. Easy to use DIRT feedback and evidencing progression sheet which uses Bloom’s matched to the new 9-1 GCSE gradings. Can be used for any KS3 or KS4 subject. It’s really quick for marking. To use - Highlight the skill they’ve used, e.g ‘you have explained the meaning of key phrases such as ……’ Highlight what they could do next to improve, e.g ‘evaluate (judge and assess) the most important reasons.’ Highlight their ‘do it now’ task, such as 'Write a detailed conclusion evaluating (add in subject), considering (add in item) and weighing up the pros and cons of each, reaching a conclusion, with exceptional SPAG. On the same page their is a green-shaded box for them to demonstrate immediate progress through the ‘do it now’ task. They can then stick it in their books and you can return to see it or show it as evidence any time! This works for any subject which involves any sort of assessed writing tasks.
