Privacy and unwanted touch - KS1 PSHE A collection of PSHE resources that have been created to cover the ‘Relationships’ strand of the PSHE Association’s Programme of Study for KS1. In particular, the resources in this bundle focus on keeping private parts private and the correct way to respond to an unsafe or unwanted touch. The 5-lesson unit includes the following: All about bodies (Year 1) This lesson introduces the correct terminology for private body parts and discusses what it means to keep our private parts private. My body belongs to me (Year 1) This lesson explores different kinds of physical contact including wanted and unwanted forms of touch.The students will be introduced to the swimwear unsafe touch safety rule and we will discuss the correct way to respond to an unsafe or unwanted touch. Asking for permission (Year 1) This lesson explores the concept of asking for permissions and the various scenarios where it is polite to do so. Global warming / climate change In this lesson, the children will learn about climate change and the reasons why our world is getting warmer. We will discuss the harmful effects of greenhouse gases and the different ways we can help to lessen the effects of global warming.
