Updated for 2019! 2 hour Citizenship GCSE lesson all about the UK’s foreign aid policy and NGOs, Aid Match and the DFiD. The lesson explores whether the UK spends too much on foreign aid and investigates the roles of organisations such as the OECD and the of the International Development Secretary. Created for AQA but could easily be used for any exam board.
The lesson includes a detailed, 2 hour PowerPoint, a detailed information pack, practice exam question with mark scheme, debate activities and clips tasks with questions and a literacy / debate focus task. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.

TWO x 1 hour lessons, fully-resourced, detailed and differentiated PSHE (or possibly RE) lessons for Prevent + PSHE 2020-23 guidelines. The lessons cover how easy it is to be tricked into following a cult, rather than a genuine religious organisation.
Students will learn about the differences between cults and religions, what makes a good religious leader and how these qualities differ in cult leaders’ personalities. The lessons see students investigate five different figures from Islam, Christianity, Scientology, Buddhism and Heaven’s Gate. There is also a further focus on Heaven’s Gate as a typical example of a cult.
The lessons include detailed PowerPoints, information, differentiated activities, clips tasks with questions and active task (where you see which students were tricked into a cult and which weren’t). These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.

The documentary is about an Orthodox Jewish man who attempts to reintegrate in a strict community after becoming involved with criminals and spending time in prison. It’s great for seeing day to day life in an Orthodox Jewish community in Britain, but isn’t essential to the module so don’t worry if you don’t have time.

UPDATED for new 2020 Guidelines! This Primary PSHE Health and Relationships Education tracker and audit contains two documents.
1.Excel sheet one which displays all of the new statutory guidelines down the left hand side (from the DfE) then on the right hand side there are five columns that can be filled in for Year groups from Reception to Year 6 to show where the guidance is being met.
2. Excel sheet two which maps all of the PSHE Assocaition codes against the statutory DfE statments and shows where coverage can be found in the EC Primary PSHE Package.

For the Gatsby Benchmark Careers Guidelines. 1-2 hour fully resourced careers lesson. Firstly, students will investigate what problem solving skills are, and try to solve a series of problems. They will then take stock of the skills they already have by examining the ways they have solved problems through their time at school and how these could be useful to a future potential employer if framed in an appropriate context.
The lesson sees students complete a skills audit, team group activities, individual tasks, clip tasks and and is perfect for a PSHE / Citizenship careers unit.

PSHE Cover Kit - in this resource you will find three, detailed and extensive cover workbooks. Each one has over 20 pages of content and contains all of the information needed to contain all of the tasks. Students can just work their way through them. They are subjects which have been specially selected not to contain any content which a non-PSHE specialist may not feel comfortable covering, so no detailed RSE topics.
The topics are: 1. Online Safety, 2. Marriage and Civil Partnerships and 3. Drugs and their legal status.
Please note the images are just preview files for Tes. The actual workbooks are the three PDFs. There are a couple of clip tasks too, but these are short and optional so the supply teacher can decide to skip them if they wish.
