Suitable for KS3 and all editable so easy to adapt.
A detailed and well-differentiated, editable history lesson all about the genocide in Cambodia. The lesson lasts one hour and is very easy to just pick up and use. The lesson is suitable for any Middle School class . The download includes: a detailed PowerPoint, a variety of activities, worksheets, source questions, exam style practice questions, clip tasks and more.
A one hour resource all about the history of antisemitism through the ages, as well as where and how it still exists in the world today. Students will investigate whether antisemitism can always be linked to right-wing extremism, whether it really is an issue in the UK Labour party and the problems of reportedly rising antisemitism in the US and Russia.
This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions, source investigation task and information sheets. The resources are all in the ZIP file, the images have been uploaded so you can clearly see an example on Tes of some of the contents.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for HIstory, Citizenship or Tutor Time. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it.
2 HOURS OF CONTENT - This lesson focuses on the significance of the Magna Carta and how it has helped shape British government through history to the present day. There is also a focus on the development of democracy in Britain, right through to the 19th and 20th centuries. There is a lot covered here so we'd advise completing it over two lessons.

The quiz is easy to use, interactive and editable. It’s designed for secondary students. You could tweak it for upper KS2 if you wished - but it is challenging.

Colonialism + Slavery to Civil Rights : 15 lessons - 16 hours (two will last two hours) following the complete story of discovery of the New World and start of the slave trade, right through to abolition, the KKK, Jim Crow, the complete Civil Rights fight and Martin Luther King to Barack Obama. There is easily enough material for a whole term.
The unit was originally taught to Year 8, but has had extra challenges added to suit it to Year 9 over the last year too.
