Easter Egg Subitising Game - Nine or not nine? This is a simple IWB maths game that develops early perceptual and conceptual subitising skills with amounts to nine. Each slide presents different arrangements of nine Easter eggs. Children decide whether the arrangement shows nine or NOT nine eggs by clicking on the appropriate answer card. This fully interactive game is 28 slides in length and easily editable to show other arrangements of eggs (show numbers patterns as you wish using two colours 5 + 4 = 9 OR using 3 colours for example, 4 + 4 + 1 = 9). This resource is ideal for use on the interactive whiteboard to develop perceptual and conceptual subisiting skills and for varied maths continuous learning provision within the classroom with an Easter theme. This resource presents varied assortments of Easter Eggs on each slide. Children view each slide and see if they can identify 5 eggs. How many different ways can they see five? For example, 1 red and 4 blue eggs makes 5; 2 yellow and 3 red eggs makes 5 etc… The subitising Easter Egg cards can be printed off and laminated for various games in continuous provision and small group activities. Game 1 - Find all the cards showing 5 eggs Game 2 - Find two cards that make 5 altogether Game 3 - Pick a card. Identify the amount and add one more egg to each card shown Game 4 - Roll a die. Find the matching number of Easter eggs. The winner is the one who collects the most cards within a time limit. Roll a six have another try. Game 5 - Pick a card. Double the amount of Easter eggs.
