A full lesson based around a chapter 4 extract from ‘War of the Worlds’. It has a clear set up and planning element to the lesson structure with Videos for flip learning. Timers are used on the PPT as I find it helps my students stay focused. The videos are taken from youtube and have not been made by me!

Paper one around the text Skellig - Please note that the videos have been taken from youtube and are not my own. I have used this near the end of the GCSE resit course so there is less support than in some of my other lessons on here. I have also added a 200 word descriptive challenge

Using an extract from ‘The Bone Clock’ I have looked at question 1 and question 3. The starter task sheet is included and there are timer on the slides. I have added some suggestions for discussion and how I would deliver this session in the notes.

short quick starter task using different styles of communication to get students thinking about language and tone. I use this with my functional class but it could be used with GCSE just as easily.
