War poetry lesson that explores Wilfred Owen’s poem Dulce et Decorum Est in detail. Students explain how they perceive soldiers before looking at the impact gas attacks had on Owen and other First World War soldiers and how Owen presents his war experiences in his poem. Includes detailed teacher and student notes on each of the three stanzas, as well as differentiated activities throughout. A useful lesson for Remembrance Day for KS3 and KS4 students.
AQA English Language Paper 1 Q4 lesson that helps students to critically evaluate part of a text.
