This scheme is designed for all KS3 students to read the play and achieve the following: Respond to the weekly Big Questions to preapre for their assessment Develop academic writing and personal responses Develop the collation and synthesis of evidence Develop inference and analysis Develop understanding of setting, character and authorial intent Develop contextual significance.

Week by week teaching of ‘Frankenstein’ by Mary Shelley adapted by Philip Pullman. Students will achieve: Answering the Weekly Key Questions that contribute to the Biggest Question: Who are the real monsters in ‘Frankenstein’? Reading the play with accompanying analysis of key extacts from the original text Development of inference, analysis, and key context Developing collecting evidence for personal response Developing academic writing and vocabulary
