This is from a series of posters I have created for revision of the characters in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam.
This poster is of Benjamin, Boxer’s faithful donkey friend. Featured in the background is a reminder of who Benjamin represents: the intellectuals who stood by and did not oppose Stalin, the elders who had reached an age where it didn’t matter so much to them, and arguably the Mensheviks. I have included reminders of Orwell’s allegory in all of the posters in this series.
Individual student booklets can be made by printing these out in A5, while A4 versions are ideal for general class use. If you’re wanting to display them, they look really good in A3.
As well as display, the posters can be given as a task for students to build on the quotes, linking each one to specific themes in the novel and/or explaining why the trait if the character is significant. Another common use is to inspire students to make their own for other characters.
Files included in your purchase are pdf and jpeg, plus a picture-only version.
Other characters available individually OR as a money-saving bundle are Mr Jones, Old Major, Napoleon, Squealer, Snowball, Moses, Mollie, and Boxer.

This is from a series of posters I made for the revision of the characters in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Elizabeth Lavenza, Victor’s love (and cousin, but let’s not talk about that), is the latest addition to the series. The poster includes quotes and comments useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam.
Printed in A5, these posters can be made into individual student booklets, while A4 versions are ideal for general class use. For display use, they look good in A3.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have any trouble opening the pdf, email me at wezcartoons@gmail.com so I can send you the file direct.

All can be found as individual posters or, better value, as bundles in my shop - just click on my picture.
This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This poster is of Justine Moritz.
I print them in A4 for general classroom use, but A3 make for eye-catching displays, and A5 are useful to make up individual student revision booklets.
Students can be asked to link each of the quotes or traits to a given theme, explaining why it is significant, or they can be encouraged to revise other characters and/or other texts by creating their own versions of this poster. You could also blank out parts of the poster and ask students to fill in the missing pieces. (I would do this by uploading the jpeg on to a Powerpoint slide and using the ‘shapes’ tool to cover up the parts you want them to figure out. Alternatively, do it the analogue way and use a photocopier and some white-out fluid).
NOTE: If you have any issue downloading the .pdf file, please email me at wezcartoons@gmail.com so that I can send the file direct.
Other characters available at the moment are Elizabeth Lavenza, Robert Walton, The Creature, and Victor Frankenstein. On their way are Alphonse, Caroline, Henry Clerval, and the DeLacey family. I’ll be releasing a bundle as soon as the series is complete.

This is my series of posters created to assist revision of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers.
In this money-saving bundle you get a poster of each of the following characters: Mrs Lyons; Mrs Johnstone; Eddie; Mickey; Linda; Sammy; and The Narrator.
Each poster features multiple relevant quotes, linked to character traits. These traits serve as the ‘point’ in a PEE/PEAS/PETER style response.
The posters work equally well printed in A4 or A3, and you could even miniaturise them further to serve as individual GCSE revision resources.
Please note that if you have any trouble with the pdf file not being in colour, you can contact me at wezcartoons@gmail.com and I will send you a copy direct.
The posters can be bought individually but this bundle allows you to save £3. Please look at the other resources I have available and, if you have downloaded one that you have found useful, I would be really grateful if you could leave a quick review. Thanks!

I’ve started adding new characters to my Frankenstein series, so Victor needed a bit of an upgrade and is now digitally produced. Wahey! He is from a series of posters I created in order to help revision of characters for GCSE.
There are a number of uses for these posters. When printed in A3, they make great classroom displays, while A5 is the ideal size for individual student revision booklets. I found A4 just right for classroom activities, which can include asking students to link the quotes and comments to a given theme. They can also have areas blanked out for the students to fill in (via correction fluid and photocopying, or by uploading onto a Powerpoint slide and covering areas with shapes). Alternatively, the posters can serve as inspiration for students to create their own versions for other characters and/or texts.
Also currently available in the Frankenstein series are The Creature, Robert Walton, Elizabeth Lavenza, and Justine Moritz, while coming soon are Henry Clerval, Alphonse, Caroline, and the DeLacey family. When completed, the series will be available as a bundle.
If you click on my picture or name, you can see the other texts available in my TES shop:
An Inspector Calls;
Blood Brothers;
Romeo and Juliet;
Macbeth;
Twelfth Night;
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde;
A Christmas Carol;
Pigeon English;
Animal Farm.
I plan on doing Lord of the Flies next, as well as more Shakespeare plays, but I’m open to suggestions. If it will sell on here, I don’t mind putting the time in to creating posters.
Here is the complete four character series of posters I created for revision of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
They can used in a number of different ways including:
Classroom revision displays;
Ask students to link each quote and trait to a given theme and explain its importance;
Blank out areas and ask students to fill in the gaps;
Use them as the ‘point and evidence’ of PEE/PEAS/PETER responses;
Encourage the students to make their own for other characters and/or other texts.

An Inspector Calls
Animal Farm
A Christmas Carol

Twelfth Night
Macbeth
Romeo and Juliet
Pigeon English
Victor Frankenstein’s best friend, Henry Clerval, is the latest poster in my Frankenstein series. Each poster in the series displays quotes that will be useful to explore as revision for the English Literature GCSE.
If printed in A4, they are ideal for general classroom use, while A3 makes for decent wall displays. You can even create individual revision booklets for students by reproducing the posters in A5.
There are a number of different ways these can be used in class. Blanking out areas of the poster (in Powerpoint or with good old-fashioned white-out and a photocopier) means you can ask students to fill in the blanks. I often ask students to link each of the quotes or comments to a given theme and then explain why that quote is significant. The posters can also serve as inspiration for students to make their own, based on other characters and/or other texts.
Other characters in the series which are currently available are Victor, Alphonse, Justine, Elizabeth, The Creature, and Robert Walton. Once I have completed Caroline and The DeLacey family I will make a bundle available so you can save some money if you want the complete set.
Please take a look at my shop by clicking on my picture or on the name wezcartoons. There are a number of other texts I have covered (listed below) and I am always willing to take on suggestions for my next series.
An Inspector Calls
Blood Brothers

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Frankenstein. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam. This poster is of Victor’s father, Alphonse Frankenstein.
Printed in A4 they are ideal for regular classroom use, while A3 produces a good wall display. You could also create individual revision booklets by reproducing these posters in A5.
The posters can be used in a number of different ways. I often ask students to link each of the quotes or comments to a theme and then to explain why that quote is significant. You could also blank out some of the text and ask students to fill in the blanks. Victor Frankenstein, The Creature, Elizabeth Lavenza, Robert Walton, Henry Clerval, and Justine Moritz are all currently available, while Caroline and the DeLacey family are coming soon. Once they are completed I will make a bundle available so that you can save some money.

Victor Frankenstein’s beloved mother, Caroline Beaufort Frankenstein, is just one of nine posters in my Frankenstein series, created to help revision for the English Literature GCSE.
Individual revision booklets for students can be produced in A5, while A4 prints are ideal for general classroom use. If you wish to use them for display, they come out well in A3.

Blank out areas of the poster (in Powerpoint or with good old-fashioned white-out and a photocopier) and ask students to fill in the blanks
Ask students to link each of the quotes and comments to a given theme and explain why that quote is significant
Use the ‘picture only’ file to see what they come up with first before going through the complete one
Ask students to make their own poster for other characters and/or texts
