Winner of the Royal Society of Chemistry Schools Education Award in 2016, I produce teaching & assessment resources for chemistry & much more. Making use of the latest software I produce all kinds of interactions, iquizzes and simple animations. I can also employ this software and my skills to produce bespoke resources for a wide range of subjects, including the other sciences, mathematics, humanities, languages & business & marketing. I can assist you with your teaching or personal project.

Chemical Equilibria: Le Chatelier’s Principle.

(0)
This video considers how reversible reactions reach a state called a ‘dynamic equilibrium’ when left in a sealed system. It also shows how Le Chatelier’s principle can be applied to reason how a reaction in equilibrium will respond (and shift) when exposed to external influences (temperature, pressure and concentration).

Equilibria: Calculating the equilibrium constant K

(0)
This video looks at how to calculate the equilibrium constant Kp for the reaction in which ammonia is produced from nitrogen and hydrogen. It involves working out mole fractions and then partial pressures of all the gases in the equilibrium mixture. The Haber-Bosh Process,in which this equilibrium is found, is also briefly considered.

Equilibria: Calculating the equilibrium constant K

This is one of a set of three videos looking at calculations involving the equilibrium constant Kc. In this question the Kc value is given, together with the equilibrium concentrations of two of the 3 chemicals present. You are then required to work out the equilibrium concentration of the remaining chemical. The reaction is: 2SO2 + O2 = 2SO3
