For Set 5 Words there are two versions, both of which cover the sounds in Set 5. These videos can be used in two ways: Reading activity: simply play the video and get pupils to say the sounds and blend them together to make the word. Option to pause if your pupils need more time to blend. Writing activity: play the video and pause it when it stops on a picture. Pupils then can write the word. Once they have written it continue to play the video and pupils can check if they have written it correctly.

How to play: Player who rolls the highest number goes first. Take turns rolling the dice. Move your counter up the ladder and read the word you land on. If you can read the word you land on you can stay. If you can’t go back to your previous word. Ideally use a 1-3 dice.
