The lyrics to this excellent and relatively unknown song by the group Quilapayún give students a great insight into the Cuban revolution. Suitable for the A-level course, play the song (freely available on YouTube) and ask students to fill in the gaps with the correct words. They can then translate the lyrics and relate them to this phase of Cuban history. Sure to be a hit with students and free for you!
