Teacher instructions:
Cut and laminate the butterflies.
Give children a butterfly each, and the doubling cards.
Children should represent their number by drawing dots on one side of the butterfly. Then, they should draw the same number on the other side of the butterfly to double it.
Last, children should use the stem sentences to describe what happens to each of their numbers as it gets doubled.
B&W printing possible.

Children should share the number given in the two halves. They could do so by drawing dots in each half, until the number given is shared equally between the two groups.
Then, children should use the stem sentences to describe what happens to each of their numbers as it gets halved.

Give children a bauble each, and the doubling cards.
Children should represent their number by drawing dots or snowflakes on one side of the bauble. Then, they should draw the same number on the other side of the bauble to double it.
