This is a workbook designed to accompany the Stimmt textbook for GCSE German.
There are 29 pages, including grammar summaries and activites, reading activities, writing tasks and a speaking mat for the topic.
It follows the topic content of the book and provides a range of complementary and supplementary activities. It has references to Bloom’s taxonomy and there is also a poster/diagram to explain these. The second booklet is the Edexcel GCSE German vocabulary for the topic of school in a booklet. The pupils need to translate and then the booklet can be used as a basis for vocab tests and revision.
There is plenty of opportunity for WWW and EBI with spaces for reflection and feedback.
We are using these this year to signpost feedback, AFL and a range of working techniques, including questioning and activities related to Bloom’s taxonomy and I thought I’d share. This has taken a long time to produce, hence the fact that I am putting this one on for sale rather than sharing free of charge (although please do browse my free resources, too). I hope that you find this useful.
There is also a link on the main page to a quiz on Memrise where you will find all the Stimmt Chapter 1 vocabulary.
The document is in publisher and is completely editable. I have supplemented our copy with activities from the Stimmt online course as we have a subscription, but obviously can’t share that version! You could, however, add pages in to match up to the coursebook if you, too, have a subscription.
Thanks!
This is a PowerPoint presentation with slides that can be printed as a workbook.
The presentation looks at 23 scenes from the film. Each film has 1 or two discussion questions about the film, with presenter’s notes on how to answer the questions.
It then describes the theme, identifies the theme that it represents, explains how the scene represents this theme and explains how the director, Wolfgang Becker, does this.
In order to prepare pupils for their Independent Research Project, I have developed the idea of the “Guided Research Project”. I give the pupils two articles on a topic followed by a list of questions on each and questions that ask them to compare and contrast the two articles.
The booklets also include a list of useful IRP phrases.
This GRP is based on “Goodbye Lenin!”. It includes 2 350-word articles for each of the following themes:
Truth and Lies
Political Change
Hopes and Dreams
Old and New
Family Relationships
Each set of two articles is followed by a list of 8-10 questions about the articles and then 3 questions asking the pupils to compare and contrast the articles.
This Resource Book is enough to conduct IRP practice on 5 themes from the film.
