A Year 7 enterprise day activity. Students have to research the history of flagship London stores and create a tourist guide. A selection of 6 London stores are given to choose from, hints on how to research, what facts to include and how to present the guide. Challenge activity is also on the resource.
A class behaviour contract in the form of a certificate with space for 5 'terms of contract' based on behaviour. Can be used for form groups, subject classes or small intervention type groups. Can be promoted in the classroom as a poster and referred to on an 'as required' basis.

Then PowerPoint gives success criteria and helpful sentence starters for key technique on Knowledge, Application, Analysis and Evaluation. Can be used to support students in answering questions from Unit 3 Building a Business.

Can also be used for peer and self assessment. Originally created based on Business Education learning but can be easily adapted for any subject that requires lengthy essay answers.
A small A4 wide classwork and homework formative assessment book marking feedback slip designed to instigate teacher feedback and student responses to feedback to show books as more of a 'learner journey' rather than just for revision/key knowledge notes. The slips can be photocopied onto coloured paper so that marking becomes ultra explicit to students, observers and OFSTED alike. Teacher simply circles appropriate heading, writes a deadline for improvements and puts a star* in students work where they need to correct with a helpful prompt and then recommends an improvement point or challenge activity to extend student learning further. Can also be used for peer and self assessment.
